Back from Nashville!

This past week I went to Nashville for Imaging USA. Imaging USA is a conference for photographers put on by an organization called Professional Photograhers of America. We spent 3 days in conferences learning from other fellow photographers from around the country. My very supportive husband, Evan, went with me. He attended all of the sessions with me and was so encouraging! I can't wait to share what I've learned with you all. And I'll be incorporating some awesome new products! I'll keep you posted, don't worry!

It's the beginning of a new year and I always try to think of what I'm thankful of. I think we sometimes get wrapped up in all that we're involved in and forget to take a look around ourselves. I am so thankful for #1: a loving and forgiving lord; #2:a supportive husband and family; and #3: such great clients and friends.

So thank you to you all who have supported me during 2009. I have been in my photography business for 1 year!!

I have always loved photography since I can remember. It took my mom reminding me of that when I mentioned I wanted to get into photography as a business. She said I've always had a camera in my hand. She used to have a Polaroid Captiva.

It keeps the picture in the back after you take it. I swore it was the coolest invention ever!! Then in grade school some girls and I traded Izone cameras. We each bought one and traded it for a Christmas gift. I was in love with this camera! I used it all the time and couldn't believe it when the makers came up with sticky film. You could stick it on your notebooks, desks, or anything!

(The sad thing is I just saw that this was out in 1999! That's 11 years ago!!)

Well, I must get some stuff ready for tomorrow! I am reuniting with 2 of my old business partners, Janell of Duncan Photography and Scott Kimrey who specializes in landscape photography and portraits, for the Licking Elementary Tournament. This is the second year we've provided team and individual pictures for the players and we've really enjoyed working together!

Have a great night!
