Kelly & Mike

Congratulations to Kelly and Mike!  I had the pleasure of photographing a great friend and previous co-worker at Benton Square in Rolla.  It was my first time there and it was such a perfect day.  I loved photographing this fall wedding.  Thank you Kelly and Mike for such a great day!!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. McBain!

When I first book a wedding with clients it seems like forever before we do the engagement session and then it takes so long to get to the actual wedding.  But then all of a sudden I'm in a room with giggling girls and hairspray going everywhere.  We're all laughing and it is so relaxing.  I act as a bystander and just capture what I see.  I love this part of journalistic photography. It allows me to capture what I see and not just a staged bride with her bridesmaids.  That part is good too, but you just don't get that pure emotion.

Then the real fun begins.  We start to notice we're running out of time and we start rushing around.  Still laughing, we pick it up and get the show going.

I loved photographing Amber and Jacob at their Alley Springs wedding.  They were so much fun and their families just took me in as a part of their own.  I hope you can see what kind of a day I was having through my photography.  Thank you Amber and Jacob!  I had a blast!

Brownie & Taylor

My third wedding was at the Lake of the Ozarks at a local winery called Casa de Loco.  It was previously a home for the clinically insane!  But what an awesome and amazing place for a summer wedding!  I was able to photograph Brownie and Taylor for their engagement session a few months ago.

I loved photographing their engagement session so I was so excited to photograph their wedding.  The winery is out in the middle of no where down a gravel road.  You have to cross a one-lane little bridge before you actually get to the winery.  It was so peaceful with trees surrounding the area and the Niangua River below the winery.  Ok, enough small talk, I know you want to see some pictures!

Wedding #2!

This time I went to Hermann to photograph Cindy and Mark.  I have never been to Hermann so it was really exciting to me.  I've heard so much about it being such a neat German town.  My husband Evan went with me and we had lunch at one of the restaurants in town.  Hermann Hill Chapel had so many neat features.  Cindy has three daughters of her own and during the reception Mark gave each of them a ring vowing to be a good dad to them.  It was the sweetest thing ever!

Crazy Hectic Summer!

Hello all!  I am here!  I hope you haven't forgotten about me!  This has been one of the busiest summers I have ever had!  I'm sure many of you feel the same way!  For starters, Evan and I have decided to start our family.  We're pregnant!  I will be 17 weeks this Saturday and we're due in January.  Some big changes are happening in our lives!  I will keep you all posted on this little one!

I have been busy with some weddings this summer.  If you've been checking the website, you probably saw Tasha and Justin's wedding.  I traveled to Springfield with a fellow photographer Scott.  He pretty much taught me all I know about photography.  He now does mostly landscape photography and has a collection of absolutely amazing images.  Look at his work here.

Tasha and Justin had a beautiful wedding and we had so much fun together.  I arrived on the wedding day to photograph the ladies getting beautiful and then we headed to the church in what else.... a trolley!  I love when brides put these kinds of details into their wedding day.  It was very laid back and we had a blast!  Here are just a few pictures from their wedding back at the end of June.

You can view their entire wedding at my website.  But beware!  There are almost 800 images since Scott and I both photographed this one.  Plus she's Scott's niece so you know he went crazy, lol!

Almost forgot about Jenna!

Jenna graduated from MSU on Friday.  She will be going to UMKC in the fall for Dental School.  Jenna has wanted to be a dentist from like the 4th grade.  I'm so excited for her!  I'm even in a couple of these!  (Thanks Mom for taking them!!)

Catching Up!

Running a little behind again!  Recently, I've photographed my sister-in-law Megan and her friends for prom, two seniors, the alumni event, and my sisters college graduation!  Busy busy.  That's my life!

Long time no see!

I cannot believe it is almost May already!  2010 has flown by for me!  As you all know I work at Fort Leonard Wood Monday-Friday.  It is really an awesome job and the only downfall is the 40 minute drive there and then the 40 minute drive back!

My dream is to be a stay-at-home.... wife...  That's right, stay-at-home-WIFE!!  There's probably no way that will happen!  You can all agree that if you have a home and drive a newer car, you have to have a job!  My next dream is to be a mommy and try to work only part-time.   But you have to have a baby first, and I don't have one yet....

Which brings me to my blogging today.... a precious little newborn baby named Charlie!  Welcome little baby to this big world.

Kelly & Mike

Kelly and Mike are getting married in October this year.  I can't wait to photograph their wedding.  I used to work with Kelly and she's still so much fun!  She's so energetic and funny!  I don't know Mike too well, but he seems calm and thoughtful.  The perfect match for Kelly.  I loved working with you both and can't wait till October!
